COVID health and safety guidelines
Q. How is Mission Wildlife making guests safe at its events?
A. Making our guests feel safe and comfortable is a top priority. We are taking a number of steps to safeguard against the spread of COVID at our events, including but not limited to: splitting our event into two smaller events to allow for better physical distancing, requiring that our volunteers be vaccinated and wear masks during our events, and hosting our events mostly outdoors.
Q. How are you handling food service?
A. All of our food-handling staff will be required to wear a mask and gloves while serving food. Our food and beverage offerings will not be self-serve, so that we can limit the number of people who come in contact with the food and tableware.
Q. As a guest, will I be required to show proof of vaccination?
A. No. However, we encourage those who are not vaccinated to please wear a mask.
Q. If I am fully vaccinated, do I need to wear a mask at your events?
A. We leave that decision up to our individual guests based on their vaccination status and comfort level.
Q. Are the events indoors or outdoors?
A. Both of our events take place at the stunning Casa De Glory venue in Midtown San Diego. Many of the activities, such as animal encounters, auctions, and beverage service, will take place outside. As for the activities that will take place indoors (such as food service, and restroom facilities) we will make every attempt to maximize air flow and regularly sanitize surfaces
Q. Is your staff vaccinated?
A. Yes, all of the staff and volunteers working at our events are fully vaccinated.
Q. What other measures are you taking to keep your events as safe as possible?
A. Seating is spaced with additional tables to help families stay together and spaced from others. We will provide paper (disposable) towels to dry hands in the restrooms. Throughout the venue, we will have hand sanitizer available. Our staff will clean surfaces often during the event.
